About The Project

The Halo Face Shield by Dermal hub was designed to offer an improved sun protection solution for their Skin Clinic patients pre and post treatment.

Dermal hub took the opportunity to create a ground breaking product that is elegantly fashionable and fun whilst providing optimum sun protection.

The Halo visor reduces ageing through the reduction of wrinkles and the development of melasma by protecting the face from the harmful UV rays from the sun. The Visor is made to a UV400 rating, the maximum achievable resistance to UV rays.

The design of the Halo face shield necessitates a flawless execution to ensure it maintains size, optical clarity and scratch resistance while also passing the UV400 benchmark. It's a great example where finding a manufacturer to make your product is critical to success.

Technically complex to produce, the Halo Face Shield required SupplyWise to undertake rigorous vetting of manufacturers.

We engaged in technical liaison with factories specialising in lens production in Australia, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and China in order to establish the right partners for supply of this unique product.

The selected manufacturer needed to satisfy specific requirements to pass the UV400 protection bench mark, while also maintaining its size, optical clarity and scratch resistance.

A Malaysian manufacturer with extensive experience producing lenses was identified to be the ideal partner for this project and production began in 2019.

The result is a successful supply chain for a unique and impressive product which is now available across Australia.

Have a project in mind? SupplyWise can help you in finding a manufacturer to make your product even when complex technical standards must be met.
